Broke first time retracting slide. I called the next day and was informed some customers had the problem. They assured me a redesign is in progress and I will get the replacement when that design is complete. Today is 22May 25 and if I don’t receive the new design in 14 days I’ll request a refund.

I had a squirrel get into our RV through the opening on the ram. I tried to tape it up with duct tape. The squirrel ate it’s way through. These are very easy to install and will be very hard to chew through.

Slide in. My slides had a bell shaped device that’s suppose to
Cover the holes When closed. I never realized it was there, never had a reason to check it before I found the broken pieces. It’s a nice design but apparently does not work with my particular slides.

This does not work on my RV. The gear pack drive mechanism is too close to the actuator opening. This product won\’t fit on my RV without modification. But, in the process of trying to attach this guard, the magnets starting popping out of their mounting spots. I love the concept. Unfortunately, I believe there needs to be some additional research and adjustments before it works for me. Now I am stuck with a product I can’t use. (2022 Keystone Montana 3231CK)

I tried the mouse guard on my Forest River Cardinal and my Forest River Riverstone. It was too wide on one side to fit correctly. If the footprint was more narrow and the hole a smaller diameter, I think it would function properly. Do you make different sizes?

Well the magnets are not what’s advertised and it has rivets in the middle of the pea sized one that makes it look really weak. It should fit some RVs but not a BRINKLEY Model G3950 or Z models either so it is a good concept and im sure with some more tweaking it will more than likely work. I sent mine back for a refund not used. When they have the bugs worked out I will probably purchase it again. Henry Rust G3950.

Would not work, was too close to the gear track to fit. Also scared of the sharp edges may scar the hydraulic ram causing a leak on the seal. I did trim to fit, but did not like those sharp edges. I did not use the device.

Product seems good and the idea is great but the company and its communication leave something to be desired. I only received one slide cover when the description says only one kit needed per slide. I sent a message asking if I needed to order a second one or if mine came packaged incorrectly and haven’t heard back for over a week. If I’m wrong and I needed to buy two then I’ll change my review but for the time being I’m going to assume I was shorted one cover.

I have a rack and pinion system on my Jayco trailer and with this the shaft that runs the slide in and out is a 2 inch in diameter. The diameter in the protector that I bought from you guys is only an 1-7/8 in. I had to modify it to make it fit my application. It advertises that it fits a 2 inch diameter shaft and the hole is only inch and 7/8 but after modification it works great thanks

The product is very well made, however, I am unable to use it. My Sporttrek travel trailer has wires coming through the frame adjacent to where the slide sentinel would be. The slide sentinel would damage the wires. Also; the rod would hat connects the two slide tracks impedes the installation of the slide sentinel.
Nice product, but I am unable to use it. Perhaps you could provide an application chart so buyers don’t waste their time and money.

I watched the video and installed as advertised but mine was pulled out as it stayed on the tube when my slide was extended and was bound bad enough to almost cut my wires. Seems like a good idea but I recommend anyone who wants to try it to watch how it reacts during a full extending and retraction cycle. My mouse sentinel went in the trash afterwards.

The idea of this devise is absolutely brilliant! Brilliance in design, construction, and simplicity. I am an engineer and a handyman; my first thought was to make something of my own. The brilliance of what you provide in this product is the rare earth magnets that allow the plate to move as the extension tube moves in and out of it’s at rest plane, allowing for tight gap reduction around the tube. I do not impress easily and you, my friends, have impressed me completely. Any initial thoughts of the price being too high for what this is, became of no concern given the value of material, design, and function provided by this fine product. Well done!

We found OxBowRV after we had a Rat find its way Into our 2026 Cougar 316 5th wheel. As We are full timers and not on the move, This gives Nature a better chance to investigate the inside of the Rv. We had an actual Rat find its way into our 5th wheel which was quite a surprise. We bought some Mint smelly pellets and Spray to help deter them, but after seeing the OxBow Sentential mouse guard we had to get them. They delivered quickly and well packaged with a link to their web page for installation videos and information. I have posted reviews and pictures on Facebook@ the Keystone Cougar and 316 owners groups. We’ve had No More Rats since installing the two Guards on our Cougar! We highly recommend these!

It did not fit my Renegade Super C. The cross bar is too close in front of the opening and below the tube. I had to cut the plate which defeated the installation purpose.

Magnets aren’t strong enough. Had to adjust the hole. Had to cut 2 magnets, a line with them in it, off to get it to go in place and stay in place. Good idea, but stronger magnets are necessary and options for shapes. We had to tape it in place.

Having issues with mice getting into my travel trailer. The Oxbow slide plate has closed the gap to prevent that area from the rodents. Very easy to install and stays in place.

Seems to be working as promised so far. I had a hard time installing one of them on my larger slide due to a steel bar running in front of it, it bent some in the process but is holding its own! Wear gloves they are sharp!

After cleaning the area, the plate easily slid over the hydraulic piston and made a tight fit, closing the hole that rodents and insects could enter. Installing this plate was a blessing, while under the slide out, I found wires going to the interior lights that was about to break. Thank you Oxbow

Very nice product made from metal instead of others that are ABS thermoplastic. Super easy to install and really like the fact that it can stay in place as the slide-outs are being retracted to protect the RV from rodent entry during storage. Reasonable cost given the quality of the product.
